Shoji White Kitchen Cabinets. That photo above with the kitchen cabinets in shoji white is one of my favorites. I hate the yellow that comes out when you go too creamy and just wondering if there's a happy medium for north facing rooms that give depth.
It has some gray green undertones and off white in it - no stark white which is why I think I need a soft white on the cabinets. Which white?? in my case for kitchen cabinets. Dover White - Sherwin Williams kitchen cabinets (Photo by: Colleen Duffley) These different shades of white are separated from one another by two undertones, warm and cool.
Funny enough, softer tan was the trim color in our old house..

All those vertical paint samples above were the contenders, with the top white stripe being the trim color (SW Alabaster) and the green stripe being the kitchen cabinet color (SW Herbal Wash, but I later changed it to something even bolder). I chose Agreeable Gray the first time, but it emphasized the yellow/orange in our cabinets, so I repainted with Shoji White. If you are looking for a soft white with depth for a north facing room (kitchen cabinets) do you have to go with something with a lower LRV to prevent that flat look (something like Shoji White?).
