Farmhouse Sink Base Cabinet. For a farmhouse sink base cabinet, I wouldn't recommend using a frameless (European style cabinet). Are you minimalistic, modern, Scandinavian, industrial, or eclectic?
I built a hardwood support inside the cabinet that supports the bowl of the sink, rather than just the outside of the sink that sits on the cabinet box. Apron sinks can be heavy, especially when full of water. I contacted the cabinet manufacturer and am able to purchase new doors for the sink base cabinet and plan to cut the base cabinet and install supports.
And the farmhouse sink comes in fun materials including porcelain, enameled cast iron, stainless steel, copper, marble, and more.
When it comes to fitting a farmhouse kitchen sink into your cabinetry, it's never an exact fit.
I haven't heard of anyone going this route and I'm wondering if I am missing something. The reason is because most apron front sink sides are not going to be perfectly straight on the sides. Replacing one does not increase the resale value but does help to maintain the value of your house.
